Sometimes declassified documents of the government make some surprising revelations.
Shocking documents recently declassified have revealed which place would be the first to be destroyed if a nuclear war broke out. It has been told in these documents that which city will be the first to be destroyed in the attack on America.
The files, titled “General Nuclear War,” were kept secret by the US government, probably because they described how the US capital Washington DC would be destroyed. The horrific revelation has first appeared in The Mail on Sunday. It states that the city will be hit with a one megaton thermonuclear bomb in a devastating “surprise attack”.
“A ‘bolt out of the blue’ attack against DC is what everyone in DC fears most,” said Andrew Weber, former assistant secretary of defense for nuclear, chemical and biological defense programs. The bolt out of the blue attack is, perhaps predictably, an attack without any prior warning. It will bring with it an explosion with a temperature of millions of degrees. That heat will become part of a huge fireball spreading at millions of miles per hour.

This would cause concrete to break, metal to liquefy or vaporize, stone to shatter, and the person to instantly burn to carbon, The Sun reports. “We have to get over the mental block that says this is too terrible to think about,” former Federal Emergency Management Agency director Craig Fugate told The Mail on Sunday. “We have to be prepared to deal with this and help people learn how to protect themselves.”
It comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that his nuclear weapons are “ready to be used”. Speaking to Russian state media in March, the Kremlin dictator warned that he was prepared to use weapons of mass destruction, but had no need for them yet. Putin said that his country is ready for nuclear war on both the military and technical fronts.
